Welcome to the Chess Society I am sorry for the delay we have had in getting this started but this is my first year being in the society and my first year trying to run it. A little introduction about me  my name is Michael and I am the chairman of the society, I recently got into chess over the past year and wanted to find some people to be able to play against at univeristy so I decided to help restart this society. I would like to invite you all to our first social which will be a Microsoft teams call tomorrow night at 6pm this will just be so we can all get to know each other and then be able to play chess online. We will do bi-weekly tournaments and socials but this can be altered and we can do more or less depending on what evreyone wants to do. I have set Wednesday as the day for this as this is the normal day for society meet ups but this can be changed if it suits everyone better. We will be playing on Chess.com as this is easiest so if you want to make an account on there and add me my name is ScrandinavianDefence. If you can't attend tomorrow as its such short notice then don't worry there will be plenty more to come.
